April began her career in the insurance industry in May 2006, where she learned the ins and outs of the industry in a service and sales role for a small insurance agency in Commerce, TX. She has helped independent agents on a local, state, and even national level ever since. After graduating from Texas A&M University – Commerce with a B.B.A. in Marketing in December 2009, she gained further sales training and experience at Travelers before coming to CoVerica in November 2010. Since then, April has worn multiple hats. She began her time with CoVerica as a personal lines sales producer, focusing on building a book of business in Houston and in DFW. She then joined CAA as an agency development field specialist and is now a personal lines sales mentor, where she actively uses her marketing, sales and business development knowledge to help our member agents strategically and profitably grow their book of business. April’s background with independent agencies and corporate sales allows her to better identify and assist the needs of clients and agencies on a daily basis.

Understanding the importance of community, April enjoys volunteering with local organizations and her church family on a continual basis. She once lead CoVerica volunteer efforts with Dallas LIFE and enjoys assisting in local and state relief efforts when weather catastrophes strike. She is happily married with two boys, Eli and Axton. In her free time she enjoys hiking, photography, visiting local parks with her family, watching her oldest in various sporting events, and traveling domestically and internationally.
